That is why they are popular among car wrappers - it is possible that it is the most commonly used material for wrapping cars. Depending on the manufacturer, permanent, adhesive or channel adhesives are used (they effectively prevent air bubbles, which helps in the application). 

It is recommended to cover the foil with a laminate with the same properties as the foil.
